The women in Kitui are very good at weaving.
Their challenges
Lack of market for their baskets within the county. With the drought everyone is fighting and striving to buy food.

Because of the drought, raw material have become scarce. The women need to travel further to source for sisal. The cost of sisal is also at a whole time high.
We want to train them in value addition by adding leather handles &trimmings, to incorporate fabrics.
